And whatever you ask in My name, that I will do
Pope Shenouda III He also said: "And whatever you ask in My name, that I will do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son. If you ask anything in My name I will do" (Jn. 14:13,14). The phrase in My name I will do which He says here twice, means that He Himself hears the prayer. Christ Himself, here, is the One who gives; that the Father may be glorified in the Son. It is unlike the previous verse whatever you ask the Father in My name He will give you. And this is a clear indication of His Divinity. |
